This program builds on an athlete’s physical foundation and refines their skills in order for them to maximize their strength, aerobic and/or sport specific training. Athlete’s will also learn the skills and conditioning necessary to help prevent injuries through various warm-ups, exercises and techniques.
Some workouts include the following:
* Speed running techniques
* Agility and ability to decelerate and move in any direction quickly
* Strength training exercises for muscle development and injury prevention
In order to realistically recommend programming, create goals and monitor progress, each athlete is required to take a mandatory Performance Assessment or complete the Roots program (a 12 week program) prior to beginning in the Aiga program.
After the assessment, or completion of the Roots program, every athlete and parent will receive a report of assessment or Key Performance Indicator testing for review and discuss the appropriate program that fits the athlete’s needs.
