Our Roots program is Aiga's introductory program for athletes (12+) who have never trained at Aiga. This program was designed to build an athlete’s physical foundation, improve coordination and self-esteem. Our signature speed and strength training methods are taught along with strength training.
This is a 4-12 week program allows athletes to acclimate to our programming, vocabulary, develop rapport with the coaches and establish baseline workload capacity. Once athletes have met the criteria within the program, they test into the Aiga training program.
In each session, athletes will develop fundamental movement patterns that are a foundation of athleticism.
The Roots program is a 12 week program which establishes dynamic posture, strength and flexibility to improve performance skills necessary to advance into our A.I.G.A program.
Once competent, the recommendation for testing will be made by the coaches to the athlete and parent. Key Performance Indicator (KPI) testing is performed and athletes will receive a report and recommendation for training and/or advancement into the A.I.G.A program. As our athletes evolve, so does their training.
The Roots program is a prerequisite to the A.I.G.A program. It is recommended for novice, to intermediate athletes who have little to none experience.
Working out at the gym isn't easy. But getting there shouldn't be hard. Aiga Performance is located and easily accessible from all of Newport News.
